Tuesday Taggers Step out of your comfort zone

Hi Guys

I am a really bad blogger and haven't posted for a while.  The only excuse I have is that I have been getting some classes together that are coming up soon.  More about those later.

Back to Tuesday Taggers.  Our lovely teamie Sally has challenged us to work out of our comfort zone, so not knowing what to do I consulted my fellow teamies and Michelle suggested that I work with something other than paper.  So I have done just that with the exception of one piece and that was the book page.

I started with the colours that I wanted to use and they were Chocolate Chip and Close to Cocoa, I also used the stamp set Live your Dream.  I had some canvas fabric in my odds and sods bin so I cut some flowers out of the fabric and stiffened the edges of the petal with crystal effects.  Whilst that was drying I painted my canvas with brown reinker and gesso.  I then stuck the book page to the canvas.  When it was dry I took some sellotape and stuck lightly and pulled it off gently so that only the top surface came off.

I stamped around the edges of the canvas with the small flower stamp to add some interest.  Now that the flowers are dry I could colour around the edges and went over them with the very vintage wheel to give some interest to them.  I stuck 4 or 5 together and then stuck them to the canvas.  To finish them off I stuck some buttons in the middle of the flowers.

I hope you like and until next time

Happy crafting
