Jigsaws

Hi Guys

This week on Tuesday Taggers we have been set the challenge by Bee to use jigsaw pieces. Well I have got to say that the whole design team have been so creative and have produced so many different types of artwork.

My 'Jigsaw' was a Chrissy pressie from my friend Georgina. She sent me a blank jigsaw and loads of bits to decorate it with, however, I have decided to save the embellishments for another project and instead used the 'Sunny Day' scrappin' kit. I have barely scratched the surface of it either and have loads left for loads of other projects. For example I haven't used any of the DSP's and very few of the stickers. This is mainly due to the size of the jigsaw. The whisper white c/s that I have used for photo mounts are just 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" big.

Firstly I covered all of the jigsaw pieces with the cardstock, then I added the photomounts. Next came the embellishments and then putting it all together. When that was done I added the ribbons.

Now all you have to do is go to Tuesday Taggers and look at the rest of the work.

I hope you like

Until next time, happy crafting

Haiti Relief and Stampin' Up.

Like many other people I have watched the news over the last week or so and seen the images of the people of Haiti and the people coming out of the rubble. Well Stampin' Up have made the gesture of donating a percentage of the sale of a particular Stamp set. For Europe they have chosen the Greehouse Garden set £22.95 (113824) which you can order from me by clicking here. When you do this SU! will donate £1.00 from each set. You may think that this is a small amount by comparison but they have also sent 5000 hygiene kits from the US, chosen a stampset in both the US and Australia/New Zealand and are donating from those as well. You can check it out by looking at Shelli Gardners blog, CEO SU! to see what has been going on.

I don't have this set yet, so I hope you will join me in buying this set and helping the appeal for Haiti. For every set you buy with me I will match the donation to the Haitian appeal.

Until next time

Sale A Bration Blog Hop

Hi Guys

Well as you should know January and February are Sale-a-Bration months for Stampin' Up! During these months for every £45 you spend you earn a free stamp set from the promotion brochure.
You should have come here from the lovely Kim's blog and you will carry on to the lovely Caroles blog.
Without further ado here is my project for this blog hop. I have created a bag and a card for this hop.
I have used the Good Neighbour and the Whimsical Words set. In order to make this bag and card I have used the Bride Designer Paper Series and the Bella Bleu set.
To colour the stamp set I have used the Stampin' Write markers to colour the stamps. Ballet Blue and Real Red to colour the house. The roof has been coloured with Really Rust. I have coloured in under the house in Green Galore. The tree has been coloured with Close to Cocoa and Old Olive. I have used my blender pen to blend the Old Olive into the tree.
I cut all of the images out and then stuck them on to the 1 3/8" circle punched out Very Vanilla and then stuck this onto a Scallop circle punchout from Bella Bleu paper. I have also used the eyelet border punch.
When I get home tomorrow (Monday) I will post instructions on how to make the bag-box.
Until next time, happy crafting

'Owl love You'

Hi Guys

Well here it is again, time for Tuesday Taggers and it is a tag week this week with the theme of birds.

Well I used a little bit of stamping this week because I used Trendy Trees to do the trees in the distance. For the main image though I used the On Board So Tweet chipboard from Stampin' Up! and then used a variety of the designer papers to paper piece my design.

Here goes

Owl - To the Nines (You would not believe how thick this is)
Eyes - Pink Flamingo
Beak - Kaleidoscope
Branch - Kaleidoscope
Hills - Tall Tales
Trees - Green Galore stamped onto Kaleidoscope, trunks stamped with chocolate chip
Tag - has been matted onto Tea Party

For the eyes and the beak I have covered with paper and then used Tombow over the top and then dipped it into the Dazzling Diamonds.

As with all of my projects I have inked around the edges of all the pieces.

The tag with the sentiment has been stamped with a stamp set from my stash and the heart is from the On Board So Tweet.

The ribbon that I have used on the tag is the 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain ribbon and OMG this ribbon is just so soft and strokable.

I hope you like and until next time

Happy New Year with Black and White

Hi Guys

Have you made any resolutions? I have made two. One is to get my SU! business off the ground and my second is to try my best to post a project every day. (this may not happen when I am on holiday).

Well we are well and truly into the new year (with it being 5th January), I am being asked what I am going to do for Valentines classes, I have had to think about what I am going to do for my regular craft group for the rest of the year, (including Christmas!!).

Here is the first challenge for 2010 with Tuesday Taggers.

The theme is Black and White. I am using the Stampin' Up set Flight of the Butterfly. I have used basic black and whisper white card stock. I have stamped on the white card stock with the dotty outline of the butterfly using basic black ink and punched it out using the Stampin' Up! butterfly punch. I have stamped the flowery butterfly onto black card stock with SU! whisper white craft ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I have used the SAJ to place my sentiment which is also from the Flight of the Butterfly set.

The little butterflies are stamped with basic black ink on whisper white cardstock.

I hope you all like

Until next time happy crafting
