Tuesday Taggers

Hi Guys

As you can tell it is Tuesday and I don't have an entry for Tuesday Taggers. This is because I have a busy time this week and have taken a week off.

That doesn't mean that I can't post about them does it???

It is Messy Hands this week on Tuesday Taggers. They want you to get your hands messy and then photograph both them and your project. The design team have surpassed themselves again this week and I am really pleased I haven't done this weeks challenge because I would have been shown up!!

Please go over and take a look at what they have done for you all to see.

Until next time happy crafting

Hi Guys

I made this ATC for another challenge but when I went to get the link, I found out that I had missed it by a day. The challenge at Something Completely Different was wings so I created this for it.

I was really disappointed when I read that I had missed the challenge. Oh well I will just have to do one for this weeks challenge, which is 'keys'.

Sale-A-Bration is nearly gone!!!

Hi Guys

Just to let you know you need to get your orders in soon if you want to take advantage of Sale-a-Bration. And because you don't have long to go I have done you some samples. If you would like to order then you can email me here or give me a ring on 07793 972024

Many of my friends know that I have previously said that ATC's don't do it for me, however saying that I have put together a set of four ATC's and a singular one just to show that these sets are a fabulous size for ATC's.

Here are the set of four. I have done one for each SU! colour family.

From left to right are Soft Subtles, Rich Regals, Earth Elements and at the front is Bold Brights

I have brayered the backgrounds on all of the ATC's. The hills are cut with the 1 3/8" circle punch from the Old Olive DSP. I have used the Good Neighbours set for these.

The other ATC that I have done is using the Happy Moments and Whimsical Words sets.

I have used Tempting Turquoise and Lovely Lilac to colour the background after stamping and embossing with clear. I have added a book page that has been stamped with Whimsical Words and embossed with clear embossing powder again.

After doing these I think I may do some more ATC's. (These aren't available though) I think I have caught the bug. It hasn't taken me long though!!!

I hope you like and until next time

For a Challenge

Hi Guys

I have been busy over the last couple of days with sorting dates out for me to teach at Carols Crafts in Spalding. Check my diary on the left hand side to see when I am teaching and what I am teaching.

I have also managed to do something for a challenge.

The challenge is Hels' challenge here. I got a bit confused and thought this had to be an ATC (the other challenge I took part in is just ATC's)

Hels' challenge is All You Need Is Love and I did this for it.

It is a mini Stepper Card at the size of an ATC.

On the left hand side I have inked a strip of book page with Real Red ink. On the right hand side I have stamped with En Francais in Real Red after stamping off. I have then used a sponge and sponged with Real Red. I have stamped En Francais in Basic Grey and then punched with the Heart to Heart punch. I then stuck them onto the card and trimmed off. I used crystal effects to give them a bit of depth. I have stamped the birds firstly in basic grey on the card and then in Real Red on another piece of card and coloured them in with Blender Pen (left hand side just by pulling the colour in from the stamped image and right hand side by using the ink pad as a pallette. The large stamp at the back is stamped in Real Red, coloured with Blender Pen and then sponged around the edge.

I hope you like

Until next time, happy crafting

Time ...

... Have you got enough to go look at the wonderful creations at Tuesday Taggers.

Hi Guys

Time for another challenge at Tuesday Taggers and this week the theme is Time. I did wonder what I would do for this but then I remembered I had the 'Sense Of Time' stamp set from Stampin' Up!

I have done something a little bit different for me this week. I have used metal.

Firstly stamp onto metal with Staz-On (you need a permanent ink so it doesn't rub off) and go round the outline of both the full face and also the smaller face at the bottom of the clock. Turn the metal over and place on a soft surface (an old mouse mat will do or a magazine) and start going round in a circular motion with an embossing stylus and the metal will start stretching and you will end up with a 3d part to your clock. I have the filled the recess with crystal effects just so it doesn't get squashed. I did the same for the cogs on the left hand side of the piece.

The card has been inked with Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip inks for SU! I inked the whole of the card with Creamy Caramel first. I then went with Close to Cocoa and didn't quite cover the whole of the card leaving the middle bit out. The last colour Chocolate Chip just around the edges. Using the cog stamp I stamped randomly over the piece. I then stuck the two metal pieces on (when the Crystal Effects was dry) and then stamped the quote stamp in a couple of places.

Well guys that is it for now, don't forget to go and check out the rest of the gang at Tuesday Taggers.

Until next time happy crafting

Fab Weekend At Art From The Heart

Hi Guys

Well I am probably the last person that was away for the weekend at AFTH to comment on what a fabby weekend that I had. 15 ladies most of whom did not know each other before but by the end of the weekend we all knew each other intimately. We laughed, cried, painted and doodled and got rid of some really deep feelings.

Dy took us all on and managed to have us all proficient in Art Journalling by the end of the weekend.

When we got there we had a little emergency kit of a packet of tissues and a wispa bar to keep us going.

I love going to workshops at Dys little haven of art and altered things. You get treated so well. The Kitchen Fairy (Pam) kept us fed and watered all weekend and Ben came in on Sunday to take all of our money off us. Emmi was in on Saturday as well.

Well enough of my ramblings. I have started my journal and it is a work in progress.

If you ever feel like you need some time away then book on one of Dy's workshops here

Thanks and until next time

Tuesday Taggers

Hi Guys

Well it is my turn to choose the project on Tuesday Taggers this week and I chose Teddy Bears because I have a bit of a passion for them.

Again I have done a punch art creation. I started with a 1 3/4" circle punch (117405) in Creamy Caramel for my bears face and 3/4" (110107) Creamy Caramel circles for its ears and paws. For the inside of the ears I have used 1/2" (110103) Pretty in Pink circle. The snout is made from a 3/4" (110107) Chocolate Chip circle and the nose is made from a 1/4" circle punch (110844) in Basic Black. Its eyes are made from 1/2" circle (110103) Chocolate Chip, 1/4" Circle (110844) in Whisper White and 1/8" Circle (109967) in basic black. It's nose has Crystal Effects (101055) on it to add a little something to it.

For the rest of the card

I have used a creamy caramel card base (10.5 cm x 14.8 cm/5.8" x 4.1"), on which I have matted a piece of Chocolate Chip DSP. Using a piece of 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain (117384) in Chocolate Chip and a strip of Close to Cocoa across the middle of the card. Punched the card with the word window punch (117406). I have attached a strip of So Saffron to use as a closure. I have placed my bear on top of a Creamy Caramel and Chocolate Chip DSP.

Just to finish off the card I have used the Heart to Heart punch (117403) in Rose Red and then added Crystal Effects(101055).

I hope you like and until next time
