Anything Goes

Hi Guys

Well it is that time of the week again for Tuesday Taggers and for once I am on time.  It was my turn this week to set the challenge and I chose 'Anything Goes'.  When I chose it several months ago I did not realise how busy I would be.

I have chosen to do a hallowe'en card which is not normally something that I take part in.  However I have regional training on Friday and a Craft fair so Hallowe'en is the order of the day.

I have used a card base of Old Olive with a mat of Basic Black and Confetti White, which has been punched with the scallop edge punch.  I have edged the scallop edge with Old Olive.  To make the pumpkin I have used Pumpkin Pie cardstock which I have edged with Pumpkin Pie ink and a dauber.  I made a stencil for the face and then sponged on with Basic Black. The stalk for the pumpkin is Old Olive, again sponged with Old Olive.  I have used the tiny tags set and stamped and punched the boo stamp.

I hope you like and until next time

Last Chance List

Hi Guys

Well some things have sold out on the last chance list already and we are only half way through the month.  If there is something you want then you had better email me now to get it before it is to late.

Click on the image to look at the list again

So go take a look now and come back and tell me what it is you want to order.

Now for a card.  Yesterday was the birthday of my neice and nephew (yes twins) and they are 11 now, it really does only seem like yesterday since they were born.

My nephew is really hard to make cards for as his interests are West Ham Football Club and WWE wrestling so once you have done one card for each subject you are then left with what to do for him.

I took my inspiration from a lady called Ellen over at Blinkin', Thinkin', Inkin' who does the most fabulous punch art, you should go and see her sometime.

I used her Taz creation and as we don't have half of the punches that SU! have in the States I had to make do and mend and here is my creation

I have used Creamy Caramel (retiring) for the card base, then tempting turquoise for the matting layer and whisper white for the top layer.  I have put it through my printer and used the colour codes for Tempting Turquoise and Rich Razzleberry (for West Ham). To get the hole at the front I cut a circle out of the middle and then cut lines with the cutting kit and rolled them back around a pencil.  When they were in the right place, I put Taz into the circle to make it look like he is breaking through the card.

Well until next time

Diamonds are forever

Hello Guys

I am sorry for the lack of posts, I have been very busy.  But I am back now and have this weeks card for the Tuesday Taggers challenge.  The theme is Diamonds are forever chosen by my teamie Pat.

You need to go and have a look at what they have all done to see what diverse samples the design team have come up with.

I have chosen to used Diamonds in the form of gems and ink.

I have used retiring colours Lavender Lace and Almost Amethyst.  I have used the Medallion background stamp and inked it up with Platinum shimmer paint using a dauber and then stamped it out.  I have chosen to use just part of the image and not the whole image because it sat better with this projects.  I have used rhinestone brads, using a whole one in the middle of the image and the smaller ones around the outside have been taken out of the casing and stuck on with tombo multipurpose glue.

I have used Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon, which is also retiring, and have cut into the ribbon and taken a strand of the ribbon and then pulled after taping one end so it didn't just unravel using sticky strip.  I have used the Oval All, which is NOT retiring and the oval scallop and large oval punches, which are being reconfigured.

Once again I am sorry for my absence and I will be back very very soon.

Until next time, happy crafting

Houses galore

Hi Guys

I know I have not been here for a little while but that is because I have been busy in real life with Stampin' Up! and doing workshops.  A workshop is where this little gem came from and houses are the theme for Tuesday Taggers this week.  At the weekend I did a workshop for a good friend of mine called Joanne and I knew that the room would be full of very capable crafters so I had to up the ante with the make and take.  It is probably quite complex as far as make and takes go but hey never mind.

It is not a new idea and has been done in many ways on many blogs but this is my take on it.  I have used all cardstock from the Earth Elements family whose days are now numbered because the last chance list came out today and I will get onto that in a mo.  Close to Cocoa for the house which has the 'Its Beautiful' wheel in Chocolate Chip.  The roof is made from Really Rust which has been edged with the Scallop Edge punch.  Ruby Red for the hole.  I have punch with the 1 3/8" punch and then with the scallop circle punch to get the frame.  I have used kraft for the bird which again has the Its Beautiful wheel and punched with the XL Two Step Bird punch and old olive for the branch.  With the exception of Old Olive and Kraft (which will become Crumb Cake on 1st October) and the punches all of the items I have used are retiring on 30th September.

Here is the last chance list which you can also download from my side bar for your reference.  Some items have been discounted and some are full price.  You have to get in as quick as you can as things will sell out.

Take a look at the card stock, all of these colours are going at the end of September and will never be seen again.

Last chance List HERE.  Go and take a look

Well that is it for now.

Until next time happy crafting
