OOPs!

Hi Guys

Well I have done it again, only this time I had my entry for Tuesday Taggers ready on Saturday when I was away for the weekend on a crafty weekend with a few of my teamies and also a few new people that I met.

Here is my entry for this weeks challenge which is Canvas.  I decided to steer away from what everyone else is doing.  They have all done a stretched canvas, I have used a piece of canvas that I got from my local material shop.

I have used 3 different stamp sets for this little card (6" square).  Pocket Silhouettes, Flight of the Butterfly and Tiny Tags.  I have used Old Olive, Garden Green and Melon Mambo as my colours.  I have stamped a mixture of the PS stamps along the bottom of the canvas and the vine along the top of the canvas.  I have used the smallest butterfly (from Flight of the Butterfly) and stamped it in Melon Mambo, using Pink Passion pen to make the dots.  I have made a frame for the canvas from Very Vanilla and stamped around with the tiny tags stamp.  I have edged both inside and outside edges with Pink Passion again to make it 'pop' off the page.  I have then finished the card with a length of Melon Mambo polka dot ribbon.

Don't forget to go and look at the fab work that my teamies have done at Tuesday Taggers.

I hope you like it and until next time.

Just some brayering

Hi Guys

If somebody had said to me a year ago that I would be able to brayer without getting any lines on my work I would have laughed at them.  Now though I can brayer confidently and produce pieces of work that I am very very proud of.  I have to thank my fellow teamie and very good friend Michelle for showing me how to do it.

Here are some pieces of work I have done this week

This is just general brayering using a piece of waste paper torn so that I could form hills.  The tree is from Lovely as a Tree

Done the same as the one above but only one hill.  I have used 3 stamp sets in this piece.  Forest Friend (coloured the white bits with white gel pen), Autumn Days for the foliage around the edges and Lovely as a Tree for the trees.

This is just done by brayering the top in regal rose and the bottom with bashful blue.  The bottom stripes have been done by randomly putting elastic bands on my brayer and inking up and rollering over the image.  I have used Flight of the Butterfly for the stamp set.

Just a little bit of what I have been doing this week.

I hope you like and until next time

Altered? - You Bet!

Hi Guys

Well this week it is Lynns week to choose what we are to do on TT's. She has chosen the theme 'alter it' and has produced a fabulous light switch.

I chose to use a blank wooden frame and a candle that I had. The frame is covered in Bridesmaid Speciality Papers from SU!. I have brayered over the paper with pixie pink ink. The foil on the paper resists the ink and you get a lovely effect. I have finished the frame with some butterflies from the 'Flight of the Butterfly' set and punched out with the coordinating punch (on offer at the moment. Buy the stamp set at regular price and get the punch with £2.50 off)

My candle has been done by stamping onto white tissue paper and punching out. I have stuck the tissue paper to the candle and then wrapped grease proof paper round it and heated it til the tissue paper is embedded in the wax. I made a little pot for it to stand in again made from Bridesmaid paper. I have then stamped the little butterfly from the set and cut out with scissors.

I hope you like and until next time

Hi Guys

I made this ATC for another challenge but when I went to get the link, I found out that I had missed it by a day. The challenge at Something Completely Different was wings so I created this for it.

I was really disappointed when I read that I had missed the challenge. Oh well I will just have to do one for this weeks challenge, which is 'keys'.

Hope you like

Until next time happy crafting

Happy New Year with Black and White

Hi Guys

Have you made any resolutions? I have made two. One is to get my SU! business off the ground and my second is to try my best to post a project every day. (this may not happen when I am on holiday).

Well we are well and truly into the new year (with it being 5th January), I am being asked what I am going to do for Valentines classes, I have had to think about what I am going to do for my regular craft group for the rest of the year, (including Christmas!!).

Here is the first challenge for 2010 with Tuesday Taggers.

The theme is Black and White. I am using the Stampin' Up set Flight of the Butterfly. I have used basic black and whisper white card stock. I have stamped on the white card stock with the dotty outline of the butterfly using basic black ink and punched it out using the Stampin' Up! butterfly punch. I have stamped the flowery butterfly onto black card stock with SU! whisper white craft ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I have used the SAJ to place my sentiment which is also from the Flight of the Butterfly set.

The little butterflies are stamped with basic black ink on whisper white cardstock.

I hope you all like

Until next time happy crafting
