Last Tuesday Taggers of 2010

Hi Guys

Well I have no idea where this last year has gone let alone the last decade.  If someone had told me 10 years ago that I would have graduated with an honours degree, run my own business and have met and made so many new friends I think I would have scoffed at them.  But 10 years down the line that is exactly what has happened.

The last challenge of 2010 on Tuesday Taggers is 'Old Father Time'.  I altered two clocks that I bought from a relatively cheap shop.  They were made for the children of one of my new found friends Zoe Tant (my upline).  I know that the children have had them and I have been told that they loved them so I am definitely safe to put on my blog.

The blue one was made using Make a Monster stamp set, schoolbook serif numbers and lots of punched circles to make the planets and flying saucer at number 12.  The pink was altered by using pink pirouette on the base with a strip of pretty in pink which I punched with the scallop edge punch and then put it through the Crimper so that I could 'bend' it around the clock.  In the spaces where there was sticky strip showing I sprinkled some Fine Galaxy Gold Glitter to cover it up.  I have used Flight of the Butterfly and Simply Said for the stamp sets.

On both there has been a liberal sprinkling of Basic Pearls and Basic Rhinestones, I love them.

I hope you like them as much as much as I enjoyed making them and the children who received them liked them.

Until next time

Happy Crafting

Hi Guys

Well I hope you had a lovely Christmas, I had a fabulous Christmas spent with family and friends and my lovely nieces and nephew.  They seemed to like what we bought them for their Christmas pressies.  For a little something extra we bought and decorated a Thorntons Lolly, we buy them a lolly every year and we (my hubby and I) started decorating them a few years ago.

A Look at the year

Hi Guys

Well on Tuesday Taggers this week it is a look back at my year as my blog has told.  I have lots of memories of this year, I have finally been accepted for weightloss surgery (just waiting for a date now), I have spent time with lots of very good friends and met a fab lady that I have gained a beautiful friendship with, ZoĆ« Tant who is my upline in Stampin' Up!

I have had real trouble trying to choose what I want to showcase for this year so I have chosen a few projects.

I chose the card above because it shows the progress that I have made in my brayering.  I was taught to brayer by one of my teamies Michelle and I love it now.  It is one of my favourite techniques.

Now this one isn't very old, I only did this card in December for my nephew.  I found the creature from a woman called Ellen Kemper who does the most amazing punch art and I cased Taz from her.  I (with a bit of help from my darling hubby) designed the 'popping' out of the card by cutting in a circle around the character.  I printed the Happy Birthday Dan on my home printer in the colours of West Ham which is his favourite football team.

My final showcase piece is this one.  I know this is a sidestep and there is nothing special about it until I tell you that it is only 2.5" x 3".  I go to an ATC meet that one of my other teamies Janet organises and I like to do something different.  And this is different.

Well that is my year showcased and I can't wait to do more work next year.

Until next time happy crafting

Some more Christmas Cards

Hi Guys

This year has been fun for making Christmas cards, firstly the ones that my hubby made as seen in previous post, then the ones for my stamp class ladies and now these for the kids.

We wanted to do something a bit different for the kids, so out came the punches and some thought and this is what we came up with.

from the top left (in case you cant see what they are), we have a penguin, Christmas tree, a robin, an angel, Father Christmas, a snowman and last but not least a polar bear. What a polar bear and penguin have to do with Christmas I don't know, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. We needed 7 different christmassy things and polar bear and penguin came into the equation.

They are all made from a variety of Stampin' Up punches.

I hope you like

Until next time

Happy Crafting and a Happy Christmas
