Wedding Save the Date

Hi Guys

well just a quickie today

I used the Wedding Sweet stamp set I stamped the main image onto Baja Breeze cardstock in Soft Suede.  I then used Elegant Soiree papers on the bottom half of the card.  I took a strip of it and edged with the scallop trim border punch and then crimped with my paper crimper.  I have taken the 'Save the date'  phrase and punched out with the modern label punch and layered this onto the scallop oval and the Extra Large Oval.  I then finished it off with two of the basic pearls.

I hope you like and until next time

Alter a Shoebox

Hi Guys

Well over at Try It On Tuesdays it is alter week and this week our lovely Ildiko has chosen for us to alter a shoe box.  You need to go over and check out the DT's work and the fabulous Guest Designers work, who is only 9 years old.

That said here is my shoe box before

 not very glamourous is it??

And here it is after its makeover

I used Circle Circus and stamped it in Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Bravo Burgundy, Elegant Eggplant, Night of Navy and Always Artichoke in a random pattern across the front (and back) of the box.  On the sides I have added some Cajun Craze DSP.  The flags are from the Party This Way set and then I have stamped the Broadsheet Alphabet in the same colours as above and mounted them on the pennants.

Next is a picture of my box in situ

I hope you like and until next time

Happy Birthday

Hi Guys

well yesterday was a big birthday for a friend of ours.  He was 40, however he is still quite a child at heart so I made a fun card for him.

For the big circle at the top left of the card I have used one of the chipboard pieces and covered it with Celebrations DSP and inked around the edge with Pacific Point.  The circle with the 40 on is a 1 3/4" punched circle with some of the Bday Party Rubons.  Dunc is also made from using the Alphabet Soup Chipboard pieces covered with the Celebrations DSP and sanded to 'trim' down the paper.

The little heart says 'I am not 40, I am 22 with 18 years experience' and is a fridge magnet.

I hope you like and until next time

Fancy Flower Punch

Hi Guys

guess what?  After months of waiting you can now finally order the fancy flower punch.  I have done a card using it and it was for a challenge but I haven't uploaded it on time so you will just have to enjoy the card.

I have used the Greenhouse Gala papers teamed up with Daffodil Delight.  I have punched the flower from the Greenhouse Gala papers and then scrunched up the flowers.  To fix them I have used a filigree brad.   To get the spirals of card I have cut thin strips with my paper cutter and then wrapped them around a pencil until I got the amount of spring that I wanted.  I stuck a dimensional underneath the flower and attached the 'spirals' to it.  The strip of paper down the side is cut to 1.5 cm and then run through my paper crimper and adhered to the card.  Stick your flower down and hey presto you are finished.

365 Cards Challenge

Hi Guys

Well it is a while since I took part in this challenge but I am doing it again.  The challenge at 365 Cards today is a sketch.  This is the sketch

and here is my card

I have used the owl from Punch Bunch and the sentiment from So Happy For You, both of which are Sale-A-Bration sets.  Now if you want one of these then you will need to hurry up and order as there are only 12 days left to get your sticky mitts on them.

I have stamped the owl in Pacific Point twice and cut round one of them and stuck it onto a Pear Pizzazz 1 3/4" Circle.  The second owl I have just cut out the wings and ears (as you will see on the piccy below) and mounted it with dimensionals.  I have added googly eyes to give it some life.

Teaming it up with Celebrations DSP on Real Red card makes it really bright and fun.  The greeting has been stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink on Whisper White cardstock and mounted on Pacific Point.  I have then cut it into a V using my Photo corners punch.  I have then stuck this on with dimensionals to make it stand proud in the middle.

I hope you like and until next time

2nd post in a day

Hi Guys (again)

I had been told about a blog by my upline and friend ZoĆ« and told to have a go so I did.  The blog in question is Less is More and it is their 2nd challenge.  The challenge is to create a 1 layered card with flowers or trees as the theme.

I have pulled a stamp set out of my drawer and dusted it down.  This was the first stamp set that I bought from SU! and I have not used it very often at all.

Pick a petal is such a versatile stamp set and doesn't need to just be flowers although that is what I have done today.

Here is my card

I stamped the petals with Melon Mambo and the centre of the flower is Pacific Point.  I have doodled a border around the edge of the card and stamped a sentiment in Pacific Point as well.
I hope you like and until next time

Try It On Tuesdays The sky is the limit

Hi Guys

Well what a busy week I have had, so I am sorry for not posting.

This week on Try It On Tuesdays the subject is The Sky Is The Limit and you could choose any theme that you wanted, so you need to go and check out what my teamies have been up to.

I have chosen to do a card.  My hubby and I went to Kenya a couple of years ago and he really wanted to go on a hot air balloon ride but I chickened out (I am petrified of heights and not so keen on flying), so I thought I would send us up in a balloon on my card.

I have used a sweet treat cup again this week.  I have used it as the balloon.  The clouds and the balloon basket are from the big bold birthday stamp set.  I have drawn the birds freehand with my Stampin' Write marker.  We have been made using the All in the Family set and the trees are from Trendy Trees.

I used a base of Bashful Blue and added Wild Wasabi for the hill.  I got the curve by using my cutting kit and cut a curve.

My banner is made from a piece of Very Vanilla and I have used the Just Perfect Alphabet to write I love you in Regal Rose.  Cut it into a 'v' at one end and then use adhesive in two places and stick down with a curve in it.

Blog Hop

Hi Guys

Well at Try it On Tuesdays we are having a blog hop today and you should have come here from the lovely Michelles blog and you need to go to the lovely Lyns blog after mine.

Hearts and Flowers is the theme this week and I have used the Sweet Heart stamp set which coordinates with the full heart punch.  I have stamped in Cherry Cobbler and Wild Wasabi.  The ribbon is Certainly Celery wide grosgrain.  Using the Heart Small punch I have punched out in Cherry Cobbler to decorate the top of the tag.

The heart treat cup is filled with Millions sweets.  The flower on the left is made with the full heart punch and the just perfect alphabet to spell out 'love is' in Cherry Cobbler on Very Vanilla cardstock.  The flower on the right is using the Boho Blossoms punch and a basic rhinestone.

I hope you enjoy the blog hop and don't forget you are collecting letters to build up a word.  To find your letter you need to click on the heart below.  These letters are in a heart somewhere on the page.  Collect all of the letters and work out what the word is.  As you travel you will find out what you need to do next.

Don't forget you now need to go to Lyns blog to get your next letter.

I hope you like and until next time
